About Little Indie Kids

Little Indie Kids began with a simple question:

What if the music that shaped us could become part of our children's world too?

Before becoming a mum, I spent years writing, recording and touring as the lead singer of indie dream-pop band Thyla. Music wasn't just something I listened to – it was how I made sense of the world.

When I became a parent, I found myself searching for ways to bring that same love of music into family life. Not through plastic microphones or backing tracks, but through real instruments, beautiful songs and shared experiences.

Little Indie Kids was born from a desire to blend those two worlds.

Each session is built around live acoustic music, sensory play and songs inspired by the artists and genres that shaped me – indie, folk, singer-songwriter and alternative music. Alongside familiar favourites, you'll also find original songs, gentle rituals and a few surprises tucked away inside the Little Indie Suitcase.

My hope is that Little Indie Kids becomes more than a class. A place where little ones can discover music, grown-ups can slow down for a moment, and families can create memories around songs they'll want to keep listening to long after they leave the room.
